This park was built in the year of 1971 at the cost of Singapore dollar 3.5 million which was opened to the public. It is also considered as the world’s famous bird zoo which has 5,000 birds of 400 species among 29 are listed as the endangered species. Where the total land area of this park is of 50 acres, located in the Boon Lay Planning Area of the Jurong district and that’s the reason it got its name as the Jurong Birds Park. Pelican Cove, Southeast Asian Birds Aviary, Dinosaur Descendants, Flamingo pool, Birds of Prey, World of Darkness, Parrot Paradise, African Waterfall Aviary, Penguin Coast, Lory Loft and still Jurong Bird Park has a lot more to display where a tourist would have fun and amazing experience here is limitless. This park is currently the world's largest bird park in terms of a number of birds, and second largest both in number of bird species and land area (after Germany's Weltvogelpark Walsrode). This park also offers the good F&B outlets which include Restaurant, Café Shops, Kiosk and Ice cream parlor, you can also have your lunch with the company of birds around you! Interesting right?
